Affiliate Marketing Secrets

Do I get something to put in link to their site that no matter which page they go to (as I direct them to 1-2 different pages to point out something they need to know) I still get paid because I have a special cookie or something for people leaving my site to go to theirs. So in theory even if I directed them to 10 different pages on that companies website I would still get paid if they sign up or click the link(?) to that site from my site? Or is it usually just one url I am given that works?
I am brand new to this and have just applied as an affiliate, but am getting my page set up right now so it will be ready to just add the link or whatever I need to do? Thank you for any help on this matter!

If Im starting my own internet marketing business? What steps would you recommend me to do? Would you recommend Affiliate? Publisher? Advertising? Pay Per Click? Im new so PLEASE HELP!
Would you say these will be good steps to take to become successful?

I realize that I can simply read the Terms of Service and what not but I want to get a little insight from those who have experience with this affiliate program. I’m about to put their ads on my blog and want a little rundown of how payouts work.

Hey there everyone, while still being in high school, I would like to make some cash online that may pay at least minimum wage or a little less then minimum wage as a job just to make some cash. I’m pretty much willing to do anything when it comes to making money online, i’ve looked at affiliate marketing (confusing) , surveys (were terrible), writing articles is another thing i’m looking at for some money. If anyone has a job that is online or knows of a reputable one that hands out cash for doing solid work online, whatever it may be, hit me up with it.
