Is It Bad To See A Therapist? Read Details :)?

Hi, I am 13 and have been sad (not depressed just blue. Doctor said I am fine. I am not suicidal. I talk to my parents a lot, but I have been a little more down then the average girl. I am very philosophical and think about big stuff)
My mom and dad and doctor said I could see a therapist IF I WANT TOO. I don’t need to because I talk to my mo and dad (my mom is actually a therapist herself, but for adults). I think a little bit of talk therapy with a professional could help me sort out my feelings and my family agrees. Not now, because I am doing better but in the future if I am interested in some outside help .
Anyway, I asked a question about my sadness a little while ago and got good, helpful replies. Many said if I wanted I could try a therapist. But one person said that I should not see a therapist or go back to my doctor, because if they thought I was depressed, it would go onto my permanent record.
And it would put a damper on college.
Is that true? Would colleges not accept me?
And, if I see a therapist in a private practice (not affiliated with a hospital or any orginization) would it go on my record?
Would colleges not want a smart, Straight-A student with good extracurriculars (assuming i still have those things when I am older) who has suffered a little with some sadness?
Help! I am so worried that I won’t et into college if I reach out for help!
Thank you! 🙂

What Is A Buddhist Worship Service Like?

I am not a Buddhist and have never been to a service before, so I know nothing about it. However I really want to go to a service and see a little bit what the religion is like! So I have a few questions.
First, would it be accepted for me to attend a service if I’m not affiliated with the religion at all, or would that be frowned upon?
Secondly, what types of things do they do? I have been to a Christian church service before; is it at all similar to that?
Is there anything that you think may catch the average American off-guard? Just so I can be expecting & not be too surprised by anything, like a deer in headlights.
I think that’s it. Thanks!

Does Anybody Know If Npr Affiliate Stations Are Changing Around Their Schedule A Bit?

Now that Car Talk has ended its run does anybody know if any of the member stations of NPR is changing around their schedule at all, even a little bit and if so what changes are now being made to that station. And Car Talk fans how sad are you feeling that there will not be any new episodes of the show? I am in the Chicago area, and I know that WBEZ 91.5 is changing around its schedule a bit Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me now takes the time slot of Car Talk which is 9:00 A.M. and they used to air Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me at 10:00 A.M. but they will still keep the encore at 7:00 P.M. And I know that they are now shifting Car Talk repeats to 5:00 P.M. on Sundays.

Do You Guys Think Think This Means Anything?

There is a long story affiliated with this, but here’s the short version:
I have worked with this girl for 4 years.
We have been as close as “work friends” can be, but the over last couple of months we have been distant.
We never saw each other outside of work.
We have always taken interest in each other’s life. But we have barely made any physical contact (we are both awkwardly shy).
She has always had a boyfriend since before we met, so I’ve never made a move on her. But, I’ve never really hid the fact that I like her.

Here is the important part:
She stayed after work for half an hour the other day just to talk to me (I was still working). We caught up a little bit, as we haven’t seen each other in a while.
In that timeframe, she found at least 5 reasons to touch me and hugged me 3 times.
That was weird to me, because she has never been the touchy-feely type. I think she is still dating the guy, but do you guys think this has any meaning? Should I go after her?

What Do Police Officers Do With Your Information?

About 5 years ago, when I was 15 years old, we used to live in a not-so-good neighborhood. Some guy that I went to school with used to live in that same neighborhood, he was about the same age as me. We didn’t talk a lot, just from time to time. One day, I am outside washing my parent’s truck and I see him coming down the street with a gang affiliated shirt. He sees me, so he stops to talk.
About 2 minutes after he arrives at my house, we see an unmarked police car turn the corner. I then tell him to take his shirt off or turn it inside out because the police officer was going to question him about it. He doesn’t listen and says that the officer won’t do anything. The officer drives up to us and calls him over. He talked to him for about 30 seconds, then he calls me over. The officer asks me what was up with my friends shirt. I tell the officer the same thing I told my friend, that I had told him to take it off because he was going to stop him and ask him about it. The officer then asks my age, If I was going to school, what school, then, he asks me for my name and date of birth.
Now what I am wondering and what I am a little bit worried about is, what did the officer do with my information? Did he simply do a search to see if I had a criminal record, or did he input me into the system as a gang member? If someone knows the answer, I appreciate your response, Thank you.
