Need Advice From Public Policy/gov’t Affairs Professionals?

I’m working on creating a job board in the public policy/government affairs arena.
1. What are some things you’d like to see on a niche job board, besides jobs. Note: we are not trying to compete against Monster or Careerbuilder.
2. Do you post your resume on Niche Job Board websites: a) Always b) sometimes c) never If sometimes, please explain why? What made you post your resume on that Niche Job Board.
3. What are some things you’d like to see besides job postings? We’d like to also offer other things to our job seekers. For instance would you want on-demand classes? If so, what would you want to see? How much would you be willing to pay? What about ebooks? Again, what kind of reading material would you be interested buying?
4) All job seekers will be able to access jobs and post resumes for FREE. There will never be a charge for basic features. However, if job seekers upgrade their account, their resume will be highlighted and refreshed weekly to stay on top of all the other resumes, we’ll also offer discounts on resume/career services and we’ll include a list of 20-30 recruiters specific to this niche. We’re thinking about charging $9.99 for the upgrade to premium job seeker account members. Does this seem fair? And would you be willing to pay for an upgrade. If so, what kinds of features would you be willing to pay for?
Thanks for the information

Anyone With Up To Date Advice On Freelance Journalism?

I’ve been looking up previous questions on this but there don’t seem to be that many recent ones. Does anyone out there in Yahoo land have experience of working as a freelance writer in the UK, or of submitting speculative articles with or without success to newspapers etc? I should explain that I am not a teenage dreamer, I am a mature person with a solid knowledge of a niche subject and a track record of academic writing about it, kind of looking to transition to writing about my subject in a more commercial way. Just really wondering whether it’s possible to get paid for writing at all now, or is everything taken free from social media ??

How Does A Recent College Grad Land A High Paying Job (advice Please?!)?

Seriously…. how does one do it.
I graduated in June of last year with a Psych degree. Good grades, I made Dean’s List. There seems to be no job out there for me. After 6 months of relentless searching and hearing literally NOTHING back from anyone, I had to settle for a full time $12 an hour nanny job to pay the bills. However, I’ve been told that this won’t do me any good since it’s not earning me any experience to lead to better jobs. I agree, but don’t know what else to do.
I do not want to go to grad school (my friends and I have already learned that college these days is a total waste of money, won’t make that mistake twice), but got a Psych degree thinking it was a good well-rounded degree and that employers would appreciate the fact that I understand people. I was wrong, apparently.
Please…. tell me where you would go from here?

Advice For A German Shepherd! Urgent!!?

Hello
My German Shepherd is 2 months old, and I got him vaccinated as per requirements and as suggested by the farm man. The farm man also told me to increase his diet step by step, and so I did the same. I fed him porridge, milk and bread, and now pedigree. I live in North India, and it’s very cold in here. But I take all measures to protect him from cold. I mostly keep him covered and inside the house. But recently, he vomited and is feeling very weak. His temperature was normal, no fever was encountered, but still he has become very lazy and weak. And his vomit got me into worry…
Please advice me on WHAT should I feed him, and how frequently?
PS: There is no Vet in nearly 20 miles from my hometown! 🙁 And I’m really afraid to take him out in such a chilly weather to the vet. Moreover, the vet will not come down to my hometown any soon before a month more. Please help me…please!
