Can You Add To My List Of The Most Ludicrous Right-wing Election Theories?

Here’s what I have so far:
1. Cooking the unemployment rate
2. The media is skewing the polls
3. Politicizing the stock market (any decline in the stock market as the fault of Obama, and any increase as investor speculation that Obama is on the way out)
4. Obama is coming for your guns
5. The Social Security Administration’s arms cache (they’re preparing for massive civil unrest and intended to use the ammo on Americans)
6. The Muslim mole in the Secretary of State’s office
7. Fact-checkers are a liberal plot
8. The secret liberal plot behind the Gulf oil spill (was actually a deliberate act of sabotage devised to create a justification for eliminating all off-shore drilling)
9. Obamacare’s death panels (awarded the “Lie of the Year” award from PolitiFact)
10. The Green plot to enslave the world (Agenda 21, a little known and non-binding resolution adopted by the UN, is viewed by some on the right as an attempt to control the lives of people throughout the world by regulating everything they do. Amongst their paranoid fears is that Agenda 21 will cede U.S. sovereignty to the UN and a one-world government.)

Would These Be Great Attack Ads Against Barack Obama?

I think this ad by Romney is BRILLIANT copying obama’s 2008 “Fundamentals” ad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8o8GSkkeXH0&feature=plcp
Here are some of my ideas:
1. Listen to Barack Obama in 2006: “Raising the debt limit is a sign of leadership failure”. Now the debt’s growing at $4 billion a day, at $16 trillion. In 2008: “If you don’t have anything to run on, you’re going to run nasty ads to scare voters about your opponent” And he’s run the most negative campaign in history. In 2009: “If I don’t get this done in 3 years, it’s going to be a one-term proposition” Oh really, Mr. President? We’ll take you up on that. “I’m Mitt Romney, and I approve this message.”
2. Radical Barack Obama was friends with terrorist Bill Ayers, who bombed the Pentagon, endangered millions of people, and said his only regret was that “he didn’t do enough”. His affiliate Tony Rezko is now facing years in prison for fraud charges. He’s endorsed by radical Muslim Louis Farakkhan who said that his goal was to destroy America. His own pastor, who baptized Obama’s children and preached to the Obamas for 20 years, Jeremiah Wright, said “God damn America” and called America “the US of KKK A”. And now, his trusted advisor, Cass Sustein, wants to ban all meat and allow animals full representation in court. Barack Obama: The more you know about him, the less you trust him. Too Radical. Too risky. Dead wrong for America. “I’m Mitt Romney and I approve this message”
3. Obama has added over $10,000 in debt for every American. He took over the banks, the auto companies, and then put government in charge of our healthcare. Gas prices have skyrocketed and unemployment has been above 8% for over 40 months. It’s time for a change. “I’m Mitt Romney, and I approve this message”
4. Barack Obama. Mitt Romney. Two men running for President with very different records. Mitt Romney worked at Bain capital, creating over 100,000 jobs. Barack Obama never really had a job. Under Romney’s leadership, Massachusetts had a 4.7% unemployment rate. Under Obama, America has had unemployment above 8% for 40 months. Romney supports the Keystone Pipeline to create jobs and lower gas prices. Obama not only opposes the Keystone Pipeline, he personally blocked the plan that would’ve created 100,000 jobs right now. The choice is clear. Mitt Romney. “I’m Mitt Romney and I approve this message.”
5. Obama and Romney on energy. Romney supports the Keystone Pipeline, which would create over 100,000 jobs right now. Obama doesn’t. Romney supports drilling in Alaska, expanding oil shale development, and rescinding the offshore drilling moratorium, to lower gas prices right now. Obama doesn’t. Romney opposes a national energy tax, which would increase electricity rates up to 25%. Obama supports one. So next time you see an Obama attack ad(shows TV screen with “Big Oil” and Romney with oil spatterings), remember who will fight for lower gas prices. “I’m Mitt Romney and I approve this message.”

Is There A Danger Or Risk To Identity Theft By Giving Your Index Finger Print On A Check At The Bank?

If I dont have ana ccount ther eyou have to give the index finger and id. sometimes they go take your id away then return.
I am just wondering because california hasthe highest id theft rate and I see , not to be racist but I see all the regular jobs taken by people with accents who arent even white and they also only seem to hire thier own kind as managers who barely speak english…
I’m not racist again I know plenty of honest people who do not live on welfare , unemployment and raise large families who end up in gangs or in jail.
Also what do you think about housing ex khans…I feel they had thier chance and should not be given a second one at the expense of tax payers. Especially when they collect unemployment and stay at home to drug deal. I think also illegals should get deported and ex khans in military camps or deported, and or increase capital punishment and execute all the ones affiliated in gangs. Agreed?

Terrible Almost-job Grief And Absent-family Grief – Need Some Human Input?

I’ve been out of work for two years. Living on savings and unemployment, so I’m getting by for now. The past two years have been hellish. Lots of isolation and stress. Moved to NY to be closer to family, but that didn’t help completely b/c some of my close family does not see me (lifestyle differences or laziness on their part). Ex: haven’t seen my four grandkids in four months, despite being a short subway ride away and asking my son repeatedly to let me visit.
Last month I got a callback from a job inquiry (in itself a big deal, cause my field is pretty niche). The director of the agency/think tank said they had possible positions I”d be interested in. I followed up, the hiring people said they just needed the director’s official okay, and that was a month ago. My stuff has gone into a black hole and my emails to the director unanswered. I don’t know what happened, but the job is going off into the sunset without me astride.
After these last two years, this was the closest I”ve come to a job (and in my field no less!). I was okay before this all came up (had learned how to cope over the last two years), but my hopes getting up and then going nowhere has really thrown me for a loop. I have an upset stomach alot and have a hard time getting out. The situation with my family is also weighing heavily.
I know that some will suggest looking outside my field (I’m preparing to do so by getting recertified in what I got my MA in instead of my PhD field), so that’s already in motion.
Others may suggest getting together with those in my situation – honestly, just thinking about doing that depresses me more, and I know that I’m not alone in feeling that way.
This isn’t really about practical suggestions – it’s about dealing with the grief that my concurrent almost-job hopes dashing and my absent family and grandkids are bringing up in me. There’s no happy pill that works for me and sometimes the sadness is just crushing. I do take care of myself (excercise and eating right), but sometimes (like this past week as the days ticked by again with no response from the job people) it is just sooo hard.
Thanks for reading and listening.
