Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Illegal Immigration Hardliner, Reelected Mexicans Said It Would Never Happen What Happen?

Voters in Arizona’s Maricopa County have reelected Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the face of Arizona’s controversial immigration enforcement law.
With 82% of the county’s precincts reporting, the self-proclaimed “toughest sheriff” in America won a sixth term convincingly with 53% of the vote.
Arpaio, 80, is best known for vigorously cracking down on illegal immigrants in his county — moves that won him admirers in and outside Arizona but also created a fissure dividing Latinos and law enforcement.
He was one of the state’s most vocal supporters of SB 1070, which requires law enforcement officers to check the papers of anyone they suspect is an illegal immigrant. The Supreme Court struck down other provisions of the law, but ruled that the so-called “show your papers” provision was constitutional. Immigrants however, are not required to carry their immigration papers on them at all times.
“I would like to get together with the Latino community, but they scream at you and I just can’t sit down” with them, Arpaio told a local NBC affiliate in Arizona on Tuesday night. “We’ll let them get their senses, we’ll talk and I’ll let them know what I do… I have to get back to the Latino community without them screaming and yelling and we can talk about it.”
Arpaio’s career is apparently coated in Teflon, with his candidacy surviving a federal investigation into corruption, a lawsuit into civil rights violations, and findings by Maricopa County investigators that his department misused $99 million in jail funds.
Democrat Paul Penzone received about 42% of the vote and Independent Mike Stauffer had about 4%.
Meanwhile, in Pinal County to the south, openly gay Paul Babeu has won a second term as sheriff.
With 72 of 102 precincts reporting, Bebeu had 53% of the vote.
Bebeu, a Republican, held off three primary challengers during the primary and Democrat and Independent candidates Tuesday night.

Combining Three Patented Products To Make A Combination.?

I have an idea I’d like to patent. Now there are three patented products involved in my idea, but my product is a combination of the three:
product one: extremely common household product
product two: uses a process to make a product similar to product one larger
product three: used only in niche businesses, too large and cumbersome for home use.
My product would use the process from product two to transform product one into product three temporarily to provide a niche product for occasional use, then back to serve the purpose of product one permanently.
according to patent law as I understand it, you can patent a product that improves an existing product or adds functionality, and my product improves all three products by adding the functionality of the others. it’s a two-in-one product created by adding a third. I’m afraid I can’t be more specific without giving too much away. Is this patentable?

On The Supreme Court?

I have developed a distaste for the Supreme Court and the system that is established in the Constitution. I believe that it is the duty of each Justice to analyze constitutional facts and legislative fact and make a determination as to whether or not laws align with constitutional FACT. I believe that the Supreme Court acts independent of the constitution, without regard for what is morally and constitutionally right. My first problem is in reference to the “majority rules” idea. Let me set forth a scenario. Me and a man in Tokyo are observing a white wall. We are both healthy, understand the English language (Americanized) and have a basic understanding of the United States Constitution. If we ONLY analyze the factual characteristics of this wall we will ALWAYS come to the same conclusions. We will both agree that the wall is white. Any other healthy man that understands Americanized English and the Constitution will agree. Because what is true (fact) will not vary from person to person, or place to place (assuming there are no cultural or language barriers). Assume the Supreme Court of the United States had analyzed the facts of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. All nine Justices should come to the same conclusion, correct? If they are only analyzing facts and they all understand both legislative piece that they are analyzing and the constitution, shouldn’t they all come to one conclusion? They should! Why is it that 4 Justices came to one conclusion while 5 justices came to an opposite conclusion? Are they not to analyze facts? I believe it is flawed and shame on the founding fathers for allowing such a flaw.
Second problem. Why are Justices allowed to be affiliated with political parties? How can the American populous expect a fair and unbiased judgment of an individual has been affiliated with a political party, or advocated for a law as a member, or former member of a political party? I believe that Justice Kagan and perhaps Justice Sotomayor should not have been allowed to vote on this law, correct?

Would I Win This Lawsuit ?

Hello
I am being taken to court by a local loan company. The lawsuit is for fraud of $330, a $300 loan and $30 processing fee.
The story:
I did go in person and apply for a cash advance and gave my needed information. I did not accept the offer given to me but I did sign a form stating that cash advance store could use my information and contact me with future offers. I said Yes.
5 days later I am charged a $30 fee titled Pacific advance, this was a chased check with my signature. The information for that check stated I had already gave consent and not signature needed. This caused me to go over draft and changed another fee.
Next I called my bank and had them file a despuit o n the check. Apoun doing g so I was refunded for the overdraft fee and the $30 withdrawal has put on hold.
Now 8 days after applying for the loan I was contacted by a law firm in vensse stating a suit was filed on me for fraud.
What the law firm told me:
tho original bank is attempted to do a withdrawal of $30 via check foe the processing of a $300 cash advance . And are charging me with fraud and failure to pay. He then asked if it was true that I applied and received funds of said amount.
I said Yes I did apply and no I didn’t not recive any funds. I also idleness that I did have a $30 fee withdrawal and it was by check by a different company. He then stated that the name was of an affiliate of the loaner.
What I have.
I had my bank forward copies of all transaction s since the account opend and deposit slips to the loan er’s lawer and mine. This showed that no deposit off $300 was ever made.
My lawyer then contacted the loaners lawyer and stated that the charges should be drop since the evidence shows that no loan was given and their client simply pay back the $30 fee. The other lawyer said the y would get back with us.
Now they still want to fallow through and are now wanting $1000 and are taking g my bank to court for $4000 , my bank is pnc.

Desired College Degree For Marine Corps Officer?

I am starting college this fall and i will be double majoring in criminal justice and psychology. I am hoping to get into law enforcement, starting with a local police department and then hopefully working my way up to federal law enforcement. With that said, it’s not exactly a secret that law enforcement jobs are becoming harder and harder to get so i am keeping my options open. I just want to know what majors are desired by the USMC for someone seeking a commission as an officer. If the job market for law enforcement doesn’t improve in the next year or two, I am going to consider changing my path and trying to earn a commission into the Marines. Any help or advice anybody can give is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
