Affiliate Marketing Secrets

Beyond the marketing and hype, is it because there is still somewhat of a child-like wonder in teens, in us all?
BQ: If you are writing a novel, what is your genre and why?

Does anyone have any advice on how to get a Fantasy book published? I have finished my first draft and am going currently going through the editing process so am still a way off. However, I am starting to think about how to go to the next step once this is done.
Any advice or personal experience would be greatly appreciated.
I have had a look around and there seem to be mixed opinions. Some people say self publish, others say never ever pay to get your book published. Others suggested getting an agent or go to an independent editor first. Other recommendations are to send your details to a publishing house etc.
I know Fantasy/Sci Fi is a niche so i cannot send my work to any publisher but I would like some direction on what to do once i am happy with my story to give it the best chance of getting published.
This is my first novel (hopefully) so I don’t have much capital to spend loads and loads but I can try and find some. I just need to know it is worth it before i invest in any 3rd parties.
Any advice or personal experience would be greatly appreciated.

Would love to read a book, preferably a good one. I’m into Fantasy/Adventure, or books that make you think. I am not a fan of books that have a movie affiliated with them. So please, don’t be shy. Write down some books you would recommend.

I started thinking about ideas for a book, I have written books before, but I was thinking more of a futuristic fantasy setting that would look really good in a manga, but I can’t draw for **** and I am thinking of just writing it as a book. Would that type of style of book be popular in the American market (No pictures, just words). The book would be about a boy who finds a magic pair of headphones, that he uses to help save either his world or another, and discovers the secrets of the headphones throughout the story.
