Math is not my strength by any means, but that is more tied to poor logic. I am very intuitive though and am greatly interested in acquiring the skills to pursue higher math. I’ve been through school and did okay in the classes, but I’ve never really understood WHY the problems are solved the way they are. I am a visual-kinetic learner and haven’t really found a niche to absorb math the way I’d like. I love astronomy, physics and meteorology and would like to pursue those interests further, but math is something that is always in the way. Do any of you know of a good place to start, as a refresher, that will challenge me and perhaps appeal to my learning style? Books? Websites? Thanks in advance.

I am an aspiring entrepreneur and I’m thinking of starting a fashion line. I already have the target niche (for rockers ages 16-22) I was thinking something snake-related like Serpente, kobr4, Snake Kult etc… Any ideas? Reason why I want it snake-related is so that when I make the shirts I can separate the editions….you know like Serpente-Black Mamba Limited Edition w/red or kobr4-Yellow Cobra Vintage Edition. Thanks for any ideas for the name.

It seems like most lucrative degrees and eventual careers nowadays are math-centric. You really need to have an affinity for numbers if you want to get a decent job in this crappy economy.
I, on the hand, am not that good in mathematics. I excel in other areas. My bad luck with numbers is averted in effect by my affinity with words. I am excellent in utilizing the English language. Being a bookworm, I have good reading comprehension, a wide array of knowledge on a plethora of topics, and am a speed reader. Such skills seem to be overlooked, if not completely ridiculed, by employers. A solid career seems unclear to me as of now. I just want to find a niche major and stick with it in college.
Can anyone suggest any major which would fit my seemingly mediocre skills?

Tile guy built a terrible, crooked shower niche. I’m wondering if I can attach some tiles on top of these tiles to make sort of a frame and cover the crooked cuts on the base tiles. How do you securely attach a tile on top of a tile?
