Chicago Vs Nyc (manhattan And Queens)?

I aspire to be a surgeon. Im a senior in high school and i am going to attend my local community college for two years to get rid of some med school pre reqs and to become a certified surgical tech ( i understand that a surgical tech does not lead to being a surgeon i just need a way to pay my way through school and to live and this is a good way to be affiliated with healthcare prior to med school) they make about $40,000-$50,000 i will also recieve approximately $15,000 from an unnamed source. After i get certified i really want to transfer to a university in New york (NYU) and live there for two years while i get my bachelors. i currently live with my family in southern illinois and i really need a change of scenery so the city sounds great. I know that if i moved to new york i wont be able to afford a decent apartment (studio or 1 bdr) in manhattan but i might be able to in queens. what i really like about the city is the ease of transportation via subway, walking, and bus. thats why i dislike Chicago compared to nyc. In chicago there is less mass transit and more citizens driving. I dislike every aspect of chicago compared to nyc except for the cost of living and the closeness to my family.
In your opinion how does chicago compare to nyc in these categories?
Transportation
housing
housing cost
utilities
things to do
night life
schools (universities and medical schools)
The only reason i ask this is that my family feels nyc is too far away and that the cost of living is ridicoulous.

I Need Help Choosing Study Abroad School- Korea U Or Yeonsei U?

I currently attend a state university in U.S.. My major is Biology/Life science, and I plan to take some advance science courses and maybe a couple basic course. First, Korea University is actually affiliated with my home school, so it will be easier for me to go through the process, transfer credits, and it will also be cheaper. But I also hear good experiences from Yeonsei. The thing that worries me most is the difficulty level of these schools since they are one of the top schools in Korea. I’m looking forward to the cultural experiences, so I don’t want to be stuck at school studying hardcore 24/7 but I can’t let my gpa go any lower because I plan to enter med school after I graduate. I’m also fluent in Korean but I want to take all my courses taught in English since I’m more used to hearing all those scientific words in English 🙂

I Need Suggestions For My Story..please Help! :)?

I’m writing a story about a med school student and a pro football player…(it could happen). I’m having trouble figuring out a way that will make the meeting seem realistic. My idea now is that she’s an intern for the orthopedic clinic that takes care of the NFL team (which is possible because a clinic near my house takes care of the Thunder) and the team holds a big party which everyone affiliated with the team is invited; she goes because she works there and he goes because he’s the quarterback… if you don’t think this is realistic, I would appreciate some suggestions. Please nothing inappropriate, because neither of my characters is like that (Don’t say a club or something like that). Thank you so much! I appreciate the help!

Athletic Performance Enhancement- Any Career Options For An Md?

I went to college for exercise science. I am now in med school. I loved exercise science, but didn’t like the idea of being a personal trainer for financial reasons. So I went to med school. Now I find myself missing exercise science and using my own ingenuity and talents to enhance the performance of healthy athletes in creative ways.
Are there any careers like this available for a physician? Is there any niche I could create for myself? I am afraid there aren’t…I think my best option would be in a teaching role at a college with consulting gigs on the side, and maybe moonlighting at emergency rooms as a physician for the money. I would like to hear people’s ideas about how I can make the best use of my MD while also doing what I love.
