Anyone Ever Been To The Website Www. Gracegive .com? Sounds ‘religious’ But More Mysterious…?

Hi there –
I stumbled across this website, I think it’s supposed to be a blog, it seems to be a collection of “articles” by various people. Does anyone know anything about this website? Who sponsors it? Does it have any affiliations?
It’s really kind of, uh…, well…, I wouldn’t normally read it, it’s not very… let’s just say I don’t usually frequent that type of site.
Because there’s nothing describing it, no “about me” statement or ownership claims, it’s just intriguing to me, I guess. There’s usually some way to track who owns it or is affiliated with what; I’m just kind of stuck and curious.
So can anyone give me a heads up about “Giving with Grace”? (The website – not the practice or theory.)
Thanks!

Best Canadian Websites For Vintage Toys (with The Most Active Forums)?

Hi, I’m looking to slowly unload most of my old toy/ action figure collection (most things being from the late 70’s – early 90’s, etc).
I’m trying to find the most popular Canadian based sites with the most active message boards.
I already know of most of the big U.S./ international sites/ online resources ( yojoe.com, rebelscum.com, he-man.org and a bunch more like that).
But when it comes to strictly Canadian based action figure/ toy sites with active forums, I only really know of a few, like:
http://www.actionfigurenews.ca/ (and its affiliates)
http://www.snowtroopers.ca/
Anyone know of any others that have really active forums with a lot of buying/selling/ trading going on in their marketplace sections?
Thank you for your time

Shady Collection Agency Attempting To Collect Passed Sol?

My husband was sued by Cach LLC for zombie debt, but never knew he was being sued. We never received any letters or phone calls from them attempting to collect on the debt in the first place. We were never served a summons to appear in court – kind of hard to show up to a court date you know nothing about. Because we didn’t show up, Cach LLC was awarded a judgment against us for the amount of the original debt plus the cost of attorney’s fees and interest. Had we been contacted at all, I would have immediately sent a debt validation letter as the debt in question was passed the statute of limitations here in Texas (which is 4 years). Cach LLC would have had to prove that they legally had the right to attempt to collect this debt – which couldn’t have been proven as the SOL had expired. I then would have sent a cease and desist letter to bar them from further contact. However, they made no effort to contact us. Why? Because they knew the only way they had ANY hope of collecting on this debt was to successfully obtain a judgment. If you Google their name, the internet is chalk full of complaints against them and their affiliates due to their unlawful methods of attempting to collect. They didn’t want us to know about the court date because if we showed up and told the judge it was passed the SOL the case would have been thrown out. It was DEPENDENT on us NOT showing up. So my question is: what can we do now? I am going to lawyer up and request that the default judgment be set aside, but what will the process be like afterward? And if a judge rules against them can they continue their pursuit?

Is It Possible To Like Both Owls And Crows?

I really like crows, and I have a small collection of stuffed ones I’ve found at flea markets and gift shops (their names are Duke, Jeremy, Onyx, and Straw Hat) and I’ve made a few little ones out of felt (their names are Big Bertha, Sonny, Maryanna, and Mildred). However, with the upcoming movie “The Owls of Ga’hoole” being promoted these days, I’ve noticed really cute little beanie babies of all the main owl characters…I have about three of them, and they are nestled next to Duke and Jeremy w/out apparent problem.
However, I am in conflict about this bcuz I read somewhere that crows and owls have always had enmity b/tw them (this is why Jeremy refuses to enter the chamber of The Great Owl in The Secret of NIMH). But I don’t have anything against owls, myself – and I happen to think barn owls in particular are pretty darn cute. 🙂 I also like Bob and Terry from Where the Wild things Are. 🙂 However, when I picked up the second book of the Owls of Ga’Hoole series to flip thru it, I was so put off by the disparaging manner in which they talk about crows in the first chapter, that I decided to skip over that part. I do plan to see the movie, though, when it comes out, cuz it looks darn cute. 🙂 Could someone help me with this owls vs. crows dilemma? For that matter, why did they become enemies in the first place? Why can they just get along, as the old saying goes?
