Most affiliate and CPA networks are legit in that they do pay if you’ve earned money. And most will safeguard your SSN, just like any other employer. But there are a few that will look OK, will pay its affiliates, but will also sell SSN’s to criminals on the side.
SO, making money online is great. THERE IS NO GRIND! NO COMMUTE! NO BOSS! NO CUBICLE! Plus people make money online all the time.
So if one tries to do that, how can he protect himself from SSN/credit fraud?
P.S. DON’T say “get a real job”, because working online is in many respects BETTER than a real job, if you know what you’re doing.

I found a business card stating ~Get Paid to Shop Today.~ The girl’s picture looks familiar, but I can’t remember her. I’ve gotten many you can be a ~secret shopper~ emails and they never reply. So I am starting up an Ebay business where I will be catering to a niche market and buying from suppliers who require a “reseller’s permit number”. Yesterday, I electronically filed the BUS-1 form on the Illinois department of revenue website. When I checked the stats of my application, I get this:

My question is, how long until I get my reseller’s permit/certificate in the mail? Or is that 8-digit number my permit number? This whole process seems pretty vague to me
