3 Biology Questions! Plz Help, I Need To Study! D:?

A biologist places a single, living sponge in a saltwater tank. After several weeks, the biologist observes other small sponges living in the tank. Because the biologist is certain that no other sponge was introduced into the tank, what other explanation could you provide to explain the observation?
Describe the body of a leech. In what way do the leech’s adaptations make it suited for its niche?
When natural disasters strike natural areas, often the only animals to survive are the insects. Explain why this might happen.
PS, this is not my homework or anything, I need to study for a test i have in class tomorrow. So can someone plz help me? these are the only ones i cant figure out! D:

General Biology Questions?

Having some problem Biology question?
1. A student is examining a large, multicellular plant which he believes to represent an entirely new division. The organism produces no pollen or seeds. A cross-section through what appears to be the stem reveals no xylem or phloem tissue. No organs are present. Some specimens have cells that are all haploid; others are composed entirely of diploid cells. The organism cannoth possibly be a(n):
A. Fern D. Vascular plant
B. Alga E. Member of an undiscovered division
C. Moss
2. A child notices two houseflies on the table. One is twice as large as the other. The child asks: “if we feed it plenty of sugars, how long will it take the little fly to grow as big as the big one?”
3.Why are arthropods small?
A. They are the most numerous organisms on the earth.
B. They reproduce rapidly
C. They have exoskeletons
D. Arthropods are a source of food for many other animals
E. They have to fill many ecological niches.
please explain your answer after selecting one of the following. thank you so much

2. Analyze each of the sequences in the primary succession of species colonizing a newly formed volcanic island and select the option in the correct order.
*** is it: bare rock, lichens, small annual plants, perennial herbs and grasses, shade tolerant tree?!
if its not that order…plz give me the right order….thnxx!!
3. How does an enzyme influence a biological reaction?
a. It increases the net energy difference between reactants and products.
b. It decreases the activation energy necessary to initiate the chemical change.
c. It increases the kinetic energy of reactants, thereby increasing their tendency to collide.
d. It decreases the kinetic energy of reactants, enabling them to undergo chemical change more easily.

Biology Questions, Please Help?

i forgot my biology book at school and i need help with these questions. any answer helps, i prefer complete sentence if you are willing, but if not, thanks anyway. so here are the questions.
1 What is ecology?
2 define: species; population; community; ecosystem; biome; biosphere;
Tell how these are related.
3 How is a habitat different from a niche;
4 What are biotic and abiotic factors?
5 What is the Competitive Exclusion Principle?
6 How is the movement of matter AND energy through an ecosystem different?
7 What are autotrophs? Give examples. What are heterotrophs? Give examples.
8 Name two ways autotrophic organisms can make their own food. How are these different?
9 What is a resource? A food chain? A food web? How are these related?
10 What is an herbivore, carnivore, omnivore, detritivore, decomposer,scavenger?
11 How do they get their energy? Be able to give examples of each of these.
12 What is a trophic level? What percentage of energy is passed on from one trophic level to the next?

15 In which cycle does the atmosphere NOT play a role?
16 Which biomolecules are important to living things and which cycles provide the atoms to build these?
17 What is transpiration? Nitrogen fixation? Denitrification? Evaporation? Condensation? Precipitation?
18 Which organisms play a role in these processes?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~…
21 Name the 3 kinds of symbiosis? Identify examples of each?
21 What are some things organisms must compete for?
22 What is a limiting factor? How does it affect a population?
23 What is primary productivity? An algal bloom?
24 What happens when an over abundance of a limiting factor becomes available?
25 How do organisms cooperate? What is predation? What is a predator? Prey?
26 What are the 3 kinds of symbiosis? Be able to identify examples of each?
27. Name the two things that can affect the size of a population
