Help Transferring Data On My Ipod Touch To A New Computer?

I’ve always synced my iPod touch to my parents’ computer, and bought stuff on my dad’s Apple ID. Just recently I got my own computer and Apple ID, and would like to sync the playlist with my music and just the apps that are currently on my iPod to my new computer. I know that I can enable Home Sharing, but I want to completely copy all of the songs and apps I want to be mine and registered on my Apple ID. Is this even possible? Should I try to put my things on a flash drive or burn them to a CD and then copy them to my computer? I would like to do this without using a software that I have to purchase or is not affiliated with Apple. I can answer questions and give more info if needed.
Thanks!

The apps you bought with your dads ID you cannot “transfer” to your ID. You will have to use your dads for those. To transfer the apps to your new computer just plug it into your laptop and right click on your iPod and select ‘Transfer Purchases’ I think that will work. For the music I would put them all on a flash drive or two and do it that way, probably the easiest.
