What Degree Can (almost Guarantee) Get Me A Job?

Is there any degree that would ALMOST guarantee me a job out of college? Is English or Psych or Sociology a good major for this job market, since it’s all I’m interested in? I SUCK at math so you can count Engineering out, or any other math affiliated degree. And I say English because that is my strong subject and I love writing, and it is the only I guess talent that people have noticed.
ALSO, does the school you graduate from have dictate your chances of getting a job?
Thanks

Definitely! Their are so many branches in this field. You can work with criminals, those that are molested or those that are spoiled plus this that are addicted to ANYTHING! I could go on and on. This would be a field for any strong person. You can’t b too sensitive.

About the only degree that might come close to guaranteeing you a job would be engineering, followed by computer sciences (especially cybersecurity) and then a business degree. English might get you a job teaching, psych might get you a job in social welfare or possibly school counseling (harder) and sociology, you basically need a PhD.
According to trhe college majors handbook, the top 8 careers for people with bacjhelors in psych are:
Top- and mid-level management and administration
    Sales
    Social work
    Other management occupations
    Labor-relations, personnel and training
    Administrative positions
Real estate, business services and insurance
    Marketing

The best thing is probably nursing, or some other things in the medical field. English and Sociology probably won`t get you a job unless you can teach it. And a ton of people are going into Psychology right now. I know more people from my high school who are studying psychology than every other major combined! So I doubt that`s a good one to get into, especially if you don`t plan to do graduate work. Plus it can be very emotionally draining to listen to people talk about being depressed or suicidal or so anxious they can barely function all day at work. It`s interesting, sure, but the job itself isn`t so much fun. Physical therapy is good and you can do it in 5 years if you go to a school that does that.
The school isn`t nearly as important as experience. If you can volunteer in something related (like in a hospital for nursing, for example) and do an internships, or more than one internship, do it! It can be hard to get a job out of college when you have no experience at all and you have to compete with someone whose had 10+ years to learn about the job. Honestly, if you have experience in the field and someone your competing with doesn`t, the college won`t matter at all unless their college is amazing, like Yale, and yours is really bad. But if there`s is just a little bit better, the experience will be more important.
