  1. imisidro says:

    YES — you will still earn a commission when you’re linking to PRODUCT A and the buyer browsed and instead bought PRODUCT B
    Amazon is also very strict on buying paid ads to promote your Amazon store. They sent us an email before warning us to stop buying paid ads for Amazon keywords — at the time when we’ve stopped doing any paid ads campaigns.
    Amazon has several commission structure
    It has a Volume-Based Advertising Fee Rates for General Products (books, etc) and this commission structure depends on the volume of products shipped/downloaded per month
    If volume is:
    4-6 = 4%
    7-30 = 6%
    The highest is 8.50%
    They have different rates for certain products
    Amazon MP3 Products = 10%
    Amazon Instant Videos = 10%
    Endless.com and Smallparts.com = 15%
    MyHabit.com = 15%
    There’s also slightly different rates for third party items (sellers other than Amazon.com).
    I suggest you test how you’re going to present Amazon.com.
    In our case, we have an information site. What works well for us are direct links to books and products pertaining to the topic of the page. See what will work for you
