Hey ppl. I’m really bummed out right now. I’m away at university (in another country, that is) and I really miss my family. I’m staying at some relatives but they are not close relatives. I’m also commuting to my university which isolates me in a way from the rest of the student population so I haven’t quite found my niche. I get to talk to my family every night on skype (we are really close knit) but I’m still extremely homesick. I miss my best friend and my cousin and especially my mom. How can I get over the homesickness and try to make more friends? All the cool people that are like me that I have met so far aren’t taking my classes or are only taking one or two of them so I don’t get to see them often. Its also hard to break into social circles that are already established and not many foreigners come to this university. HELP!

I am a business student that is just finishing my second year of university. I have very good grades and a lot of work and volunteer experience. Yet, despite this there is a challenge.
1. Lack of co-op jobs for this summer.
Although, I am concentrating in accounting I am still trying to find my niche. If you or someone you know is need of an extra hand this summer and would like someone who is willing to learn and work hard you have found your guy. All for a bargain as well, I am more interested in learning and gaining experience in an industry than financial gains.
Thank you in advance.

Hello, I have wanted to join a certain divine 9 organization for years. I am in my senior year of college and honestly have not had the time or funds to join a chapter at my university. I know in my heart that this is what I want though. I was thinking about joining a graduate chapter. I wanted to know if any of you have joined a graduate chapter instead of undergraduate. Also, I live in south carolina and the graduate chapters are not in my city. Would I still be able to join if I do not live in that certain area? Have any of you joined a graduate chapter in south Carolina? Also, would a Grad chapter be a part of graduate schools or just local chapter not affiliated with a school.

I need to have a student loan for 50,000. I applied to both of the lenders that my university works with and both denied me but said I would be approved with a credit worthy cosigner. I have excellent credit in the 800’s. I’m only 24. i own a quiznos franchise. i have a bachelor’s degree. why can’t i get this loan for nursing school? i tried to get it from a few other banks, however, most only work with schools that they are affiliated with, which means i pretty much have to go with the people my school offers salliemae or wells fargo. the only reason i could think of y i might not be able to get the loan is because i am a guarantor on my 50,000 dollar business loan for my corp.
is there anything i can do? is it anyway possible for me to be able to get a loan on my own? i even tried to get it for less money, and still denied. and i have no one to cosign for me. can anyone out there advise me or give me any info whatsoever???

I’m an electronics and instrumentation student of an affiliated anna university college in Chennai,India.
I would like to do an M.S in instrumentation in Canada , Australia or New Zealand. What are the requirements, apart from my gpa and a B.E certificate, to get an admission. What do the universities abroad expect Indian students to have in their resumes in order to get an admission (not the IELTS band requirements) ?
