Cool Newbie Affiliate Marketing Tips

Affiliate marketing can eventually become an autopilot type of venture after you get everything set-up and in place. But you will need to learn how to do that and gain the experience to do it the right way. In this article we’ll be reviewing several time-tested approaches you can use in your own business.

Not all commission enhancing tactics have to do with the product or niche you’re dealing with. The secret concerns how sincere and honest you are in your approach to selling your products or services. Customers who buy a particular product through you do so because they trust your recommendation. So whatever the product or service is, you need to be upfront about all the pluses and minuses about it. Also, if you have assessed a product and feel that it won’t live up to the sales promises, obviously the right approach is to avoid marketing it. People talk too much online, and if a product is bad enough people will come to know, and you never want your name mentioned as the person selling it. You should try and make your reviews as straightforward as possible. Just tell the the good points and why you think it may be of value and help them. Hopefully the negatives will be much less in number, they should be, and explain why you think they are negatives. If you approach this from the point of helping another person, then a lot of times they will sense that and the negatives won’t be so much of a deterrent to buying. So this is a great way for you stay ahead of the crowd and build your reputation. The more honest you are, the better it will be.

If you’re not aware of the importance of choosing a good domain name, then the whole process can be confusing and end-up hurting your business. Your website will be about a primary keyword or phrase, so you need to consider that plus the product you’re promoting. If at all possible, always avoid the free hosts in which you’ll have some subdomain name. Regardless of how you’re marketing, you’ll want to have a domain with the primary phrase in it for best results.

The power of a testimonial is awesome, and when you get real ones – only use real ones, then put them up asap. Testimonials represent strong social proof, and it’s a fact that they work wonders for sales. You can use the right from the main sales copy page for the product, or even from experts if you can find them and work them in. One powerful and effective tactic is to take the testimonial text and pictures and then make a video from it. It’s long been recognized in IM that videos can be very powerful and moreso than just regular written text. Video will make your site more attention grabbing and interesting, and that will only help your cause, too.

You’ll definitely need to work to make good money at affiliate marketing, but you certainly can do it because it’s not rocket science. If you apply yourself, it’s very doable to make a serious income with this marketing model.

Affiliate Marketing Tips and Tricks

If you are reading this article I am going to assume that you have basic understanding of what affiliate marketing is. I am now going to expand and give you a few ideas on where to advertise your vendors website; some of these may be obvious but others not. All you need to get started is the referral hop link URL and the HTML code the vendor provides.

The first is obvious, your website, blog, tweet, Facebook and/or MySpace. It’s free and easy to make a blog, you can blog about anything you would like-I do suggest though that you do write something on the same topic of the product you are promoting. After every page or so just stick a one liner in something like this:

If you enjoyed my article/blog about so and so then you may be interested in this product. Cheezy I know but it works. I found Facebook headlines work astoundingly well especially if you have a lot of friends.

Just say something like: Hey everyone, I found this great product about. (Insert Product here) you might be interested in. Then when your friends ask you about the product you can promote it even further.

Word of mouth has been proven time and time again the most effective advertising method. Next MySpace makes it very easy to insert the HTML code so I wont give an in depth explanation. As for twitter, tweet to your hearts content about your product.

Now that we have the most common methods out of the way lets look at some others. Forum signatures, writing reviews on products, eBooks, yahoo answers, and Google AdWords. Other offline methods are friends, business cards, flyers, posters, and classified ads. Lets start with forum writing and the signatures, if you are an avid forum poster then this could be one of the best free ways around.

For those of you who do not know what a forum signature is, it what always appears at the bottom of your posts. Now lets say now that you are promoting a movie website. You can start by compiling a list of movie forums, then you search the forums for every place that a user asks for a good site to watch streaming movies. You then come to there aid-or so they think and give them a totally unbiased representation of your product, or so they think. The same is true for yahoo answers.

The next great way to promote products is to write reviews of the products at places such as Google products. Again give an “unbiased” review of your product.

Google AdWords is a CPC program or cost per click which is almost guaranteed to get you traffic, but there is a catch. You will get a lot more traffic but you are paying for it.

I will go into even more techniques in my next article!

Any Job-search Tips For When I Get My Mba?

A little background information:
I’m about to get my MBA from UMass. I have a 3.92 GPA. I have undergraduate degrees in psychology and English. At first I was worried about my Bachelor’s degrees, but now I’m thinking I should use them to play up my versatility. Lots of math whizzes out there don’t understand people/work teams and can’t write to save their lives. I’m pretty balanced.
The gist:
My problem is I’m looking at Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, but my experience is all in the nonprofit sector, working with kids. I fought the good fight for 6 years, but now I’m worried I won’t get a good career because of “irrelevant” experience. I have a ton of experience with enterprise systems, but I’ve never worked in the defense sector before. Everybody wants 5-6 years of relevant experience.
I’m trying to strategize for online applications and, hopefully, interviews. I’ll relocate. I’ll be an ex-pat. I’m very flexible. Once I’m done grad school and my homework disappears, I’ll be so bored. I need to be busy. “You need somebody to go to Korea?” “Nobody wants to go?” “Pfft, gimme that ticket!” I think a lot of potential employees aren’t like that. I want to work at a company for 30-40 years. I don’t know how to explain this in a cover letter with sounding desperate. Advice???

Should I Start The Flute?any Tips?

I am on grade six singing and piano and used to play violin ages ago up to grade 3 but stopped because I didnt enjoy playing it. I want to get up to a high level (grade 6) in whatever instrument I choose to play though as well as playing it in orchestra. I am considering the flute (my most likely option),piccolo or oboe. Which one is the “easiest” out of these and will allow me to skip grades easily so I can advance quicker (I’m already 14 and a half). Thanks for any advice! btw I already had a clarinet taster lesson but it wasnt to my taste!
Also the orchestra I want to join is only a school one and I currently do play the piano and do singing which I both intend to do till grade 8. I love to play music but having enough time is hard as I do a lot of other sporting and drama commitments but I would love to play another musical instrument which I could play passionately. I just need help to find my niche in the large number of instruments available-thanks for all the comments so far though!(anybody got any advice on starting the flute?)
