Affiliate Marketing Secrets

Im trying to create a cookie for a voucher code website that will allow the affiliate to read the link and see that they have come from my voucher code website, im not sure if i need to create a cookie for each link or if there is a global cookie i could use, would appreciate any guides or tutorials thanks
