I understand that the music industry sells records, merchandise, concerts, etc, but how do music bosses make there millions. What are some trade secrets?
Producers make their money by knowing pricing. They have a general sense of the cost of production and marketing vs the gross profits. An act can bypass a record deal by paying a producer and claiming any profits.
Good catchy music sells.
