Question For People Who Use Windows 8?

Is it true that it’s difficult to get used to the new Windows 8? Is it that different?
Do you like Windows 8?

I like Windows 8 and it is different in some places but it’s mostly the same as Windows Vista and 7 except for the new start screen. The good news is that it shouldn’t take you very long to figure it out. I’ve got some helpful stuff describing the ins and outs of Windows 8.http://www.hanselman.com/blog/TheMissing…http://marketing.dell.com/Global/FileLib…http://www.techradar.com/us/news/softwar…
So here’s the basic idea. The start screen replaces the start menu but there’s still a desktop like in previous versions of Windows with a taskbar and all of that. The start screen is where you pin all your favorite programs and since it runs full screen you have plenty of room for everything.
The start screen runs its own type of program called an app. The apps are special in that they run full screen, don’t need to be closed, and also have live tiles. Unlike regular icons, the tiles on the start screen can present information without actually having to open the program they represent. So the Mail tile will tell you if you have new messages and the weather tile will show the up to date weather conditions without you actually opening either program.
You’re not forced to use any of the apps so if you’d rather use a different e-mail client, photo viewer, video player, or PDF reader then feel free to install one or change your defaults which can be found under Default Programs in the Control Panel.
Oh, and you’ll wan to learn how to search in Windows 8. Like Vista and 7, Windows 8 has a built in search engine so you don’t have to remember where a particular program is on the all programs list, or where a file is in your My Documents library, or where a setting is in Control Panel. Just type the name of what you want and Windows will fetch it for you. You can still do things the old way if you prefer.
And if you just don’t like all the new stuff then you can install a free start menu. There are tons to choose from.http://forum.notebookreview.com/windows-…
All of them will hide the start screen, charms bar, switcher, and will put your right on the desktop after you sign in.
