So I’m a freshman in college, my school has 50,000 people and it’s very big and diverse. I’ve made a lot of friends but I haven’t exactly found my niche yet. I’ve noticed I’ve been very distant from God and I want to change that. I’m technically muslim, but I don’t want to join an Islamic group because I feel like it’s a lot of pressure from the ones here. So my question is, are there any just simple youth groups that focus on being closer to God without having so much emphasis on Jesus, but just God in general? I feel like that would be best for me but I’m not sure if they exist or if I should seek them out.
P.S. I am not implying that I want to convert to Christianity.

Why don’t you want to join an islamic group? I don’t quite understand your reasoning, it would seem to make the most sense.

No, they dont exist, unless you are meaning a cult. If you want a Youth Group where you will grow, choose a non denominational congregation-the right one. You of course should pray and ask the Lord where you should be/go. That is where you would enjoy it most.

I think you should just find a group that would better suit you as most groups are for bringing people closer to Jesus.
