Why Do I Keep Getting Calls Even Registering W/the National Do Not Call Registry?

The calls come through to my cell phone. It’s been MORE than the allotted one month wait time, it’s not from any company I’ve previously done business with and it’s not charities or politically affiliated organizations? I keep filing complaints w/the FCC but nothing. What can I do?

There’s virtually nothing that can be done to actually enforce the DNC registry, unfortunately. I suggest changing your phone number.

If you don’t answer the calls, you don’t get charged for the minutes…

now you’ve found out how useless the registry is…
and no the FCC is not going to do a damned thing about it… tell them to stop calling or you’ll have your lawyer contact them.. (works for me.) or when they call… act like an official registrar and tell them that they’re going to be charged fines for calling a ‘unlisted’ source.
if that doesn’t work.. get a blocker OR change the number.

I’m sorry to hear about your situation but be aware that almost everybody shares the same sentiment. A lot of people are listed on the DNC registry but they still get a lot of unsolicited calls. Apparently, telemarketers, primarily, do not respect the law. And sadly, the authorities take time to act on complaints.
This is why I suggest you take the initiative and the report the nuisance callers to http://www.callercenter.com for harassing calls. Contact your telephone service provider and have them block the caller, as well, so that all their future calls are filtered from through.
