Is Gun Control Even Effective?

my opinion is that it is not because criminals will find away to get their weapons through the black market even easier because of lack id and background checks.

    gun control is very effective
it effectively creates yet another niche that can be exploited by the Criminal elements of society
    for Black Market Business
gun control does not and never will control Crime
you cannot Control Criminal activity by passing Laws because Criminals [ the people who do Crimes] by definition break laws instead of obeying them
it has been illegal to own a handgun without a valid license in New York City since the 1911
in 2011 62% of ne York’s muders involved handguns
yeah Gun Control is really effective it makes Criminals more money

Criminals will also find burglary effective into getting firearms.
They can also sell the guns to whomever wants one.
Last thing a criminal cares about is whether the gun is illegally or legally obtained. He or she will commit a crime with it anyway.
Banning guns or even restricting them do not work. The ten bullets per magazine stupid law is ineffective. A bullet is a bullet. It goes in someone.
Only criminals will have guns if guns are banned, and there isn’t enough time for police to respond when a gun is fired and kills someone.

“Gun crime” stats fail to account for all violence. For example: If 20 people are harmed in knife-fights in the UK and 1 in a gun-fight vs. 10 people harmed in gun-fights in the US, and 5 in knife-fights, they’ll say “gun violence is so much less in the UK than the US” — which is true, but also completely irrelevant to real crime victims, because the crime rate itself is HIGHER in the UK: http://telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-a…
You also have to watch what the stats actually count as “gun crime.” They often include self-defense, and they often label 18-21 year-olds as “children” when they were adult participants in a gang shooting. Also, the mere presence of a gun at a crime scene, even if it was never used or even brandished, leads to the incident being labeled “gun crime.”
And remember, to separate deaths caused by self-defense (right use of guns) with deaths caused by aggression (wrong use of guns):
    1. How many shot by civilians defending themselves against attack?
    2. How many shot by law-enforcement during a crime?
    3. How many shot by each other in a gang war?
    4. How many were not human (bears, dogs, rabid raccoons, etc.)
And the USA is not even in the top 10 for murder, by ANY method:http://mapsofworld.com/world-top-ten/cou…

  4. Haymarket Chicago says:

There are still shootings in Europe where they have far stricter gun control policies….but for every one European that dies due to gun violence more than five Americans die.
It’s not perfect, but 500% more is a heck of a difference

  5. Datx says:

If you look at statistics, fatalities as a result of guns is much lower in places with more effective gun control than the USA.

  6. forex5x says:

Other countries have much better stats on gun violence than we do but we have the NRA and they don’t.

  7. I know you says:

    They do at gun shows.
Wouldn’t it be easier to close them down.

  8. Mr. Sonny says:

    You’re right.
