In Biology, What Is The Difference Between Adaptive Radiation And Allopatric Speciation?

To me they both seem like the process where a species is divided and evolves within their own niche to become a separate species from their ancestral species.

I had issues understanding this too!!!
Adaptive radiation can be a consequence of allopatric speciation… and yes you’re right!
Adaptive radiation is when due to environmental pressure one species develops new features to adapt. This species willeventually evolve into separate species.
Allopatric speciation is when a species forms into seperate populations and is isolated from each other. Eventually due to natural selection these populations will develop into seperate species.
So the difference… what causes the separation of the species physical isolation, or selection pressures?
