Today a guy called me from john casablancas and talked to me for like 20 min i was supposed to go to an audition today at 130 but didn’t because i heard it was a money scam i told him that and he told me it wasnt because they r affiliated with elite models and one of their girls is now gunna be in an upcoming movie with Jennifer aniston. I need as much information as possible about what to wear makeup and attitude because this is my dream. Any advice my audition is tomorrow at 635 pm he said he just wants to take some photos and watch me walk and the photos r free. I need advice on what to do or if i should even go. My family is struggling right now and i need the money.
1. john casablancas is a school, not an agency…schools are not allowed to submit actors, like an agent does
2. john casablancas is a CRAPPY school, and listing them on a resume’ will make you look BAD
3. some girl who went through one of their many schools, may have landed a dayplayer role, or she may be an extra, in a jennifer aniston movie…big whoop.
4. if your family is struggling, this crappy school is the LAST thing they need to spend money on. remember, schools are NOT franchised agencies, and therefore can’t send you on legit auditions.
5. btw, even if you got SUPER lucky(and your odds would be better if you just bought lottery tickets), and booked a job, it won’t fix the money issues in your family. my son has had an agent, and been working, for 7 years…we’re still struggling.

They will overcharge you and the classes will be crap.
I’m an acting coach and have worked with several actors who have gone through the ‘Casablanca’ program. Not only did they spend a crapload of money, but they had NO GAME at all. Nothing.
They paid me way less and got way more in private coaching sessions.
I suggest doing some research to see where the real acting teachers are in your region and go to them.
Casablanca’s will have shiny pictures on the wall, but it doesn’t mean jack.
Be careful who you give your money to!
