Did You Know That China Was A Pioneer In The African Slave Trade Markets?

As early as the Tang and Song dynasties, China was buying African slaves from Arab slave traders.

  1. Tyler says:

That’s actually incorrect because the kingdoms of africa would capture POWs and trade them and all that stuff long before others visted their land

  2. Irish says:

China is one of the worst countries on earth when it comes to appalling human rights abuses. The executions, torture and forced labor camps operating in china is just sick and disgusting.

  3. Lim Yuan says:

It wasn’t a pioneer in the African slave trade, but it was an end market to the Arab slave trade which involved the slavery of Africans as far back as the early Tang dynasty.
China like the rest of the world’s ancient civilizations did use slaves, its well know that Xia and Shang dynasties were slave societies and often used them in human sacrifice and funeral service something that went on for like 1800 years.

    I think you are right

  5. Black Enzo says:

I knew that the Chinese bought African slaves from the Arabs. They castrated their slaves, I believe, which is why there is not a strong presence of Black admixture like there is in the US and South America.

  6. ThatRand says:

Yeah and so did cannibalism in the Shang (maybe Xia) dynasty. And people used to skin other people alive in front of a crowd in the English middle ages. Everybody was crazy back then, even in 1950 (after the war) they arrested homosexuals for their sexual orientation in Germany.
