Hooters Job References Please?

Hey! So I want to work at Hooters because I heard the tips are good and I really need the money. But I wonder who would you put down as a job reference when filling out the application (like what type of people, or what areas of work would your references work in, etc)? Also how would you approach someone and ask them to be your reference because most people wouldn’t want their name affiliated with Hooters? (If I use someone as a reference and don’t tell them where I’m applying and they randomly get a call from Hooters it might be awkward. Or does Hooters not really call your references?) Please help!!

You use work colleagues and supervisors, just like any reference.
If you are embarassed to have them call your references, imagine how embarrassing it will be to work there!!
Don’t degrade yourself. The tips are not worth it.

For professional references you’ll have to give the names of employers you’ve had regardless of what type business it was. For personal references it doesn’t matter what their job is , they won’t be asked questions related to your work performance, but instead questions related to what type of person you are. For that the most respected opinions come from your teachers, minister, coach, long time neighbors, friends of your parents (they must be adults and must not be relatives). If you don’t want them to get a call from Hooters are you always going to keep your employer a secret from them? Do you really care more about money than your reputation?
