Income From Affiliate Marketing: Is It Bullsh!t?

I’m curious, is there anyone out there making decent money on affiliate marketing? I know the basics as to what it is, what keywords are, hoplinks from clickbank, and adwords but will I really be able to make an income? Is affiliate marketing just something I spend my days working out some sort of miniscule passive income or is it really legit enough to spend a lot of time?
Who here can speak from personal experience about affiliate marketing?

The majority of people bring no skills to the game and fail to profit, I have seen estimates of perhaps 1% of those attempting it succeed.
Promoting Clickbank with Adwords is tricky, I understand promoting some CB products might get you banned from Adwords.

I have joined a lot of programs as an affiliate and received little or no cash from them
but I keep on promoting them as you never know when you will get a good run on new referals
    to join up.
But the program cash in on banners promoted on my blogsite as proved to be a good earner for me it is an easy
program to apply, even if you are a newbie, because all the information on “HOW TO” is on the site.
Why not take a look now.
You could visit my blog — “source” — to see other sites I am affiliated
    to. regards. William

There are lots of people making substantial income from affiliate marketing but the one thing they have is a good mailing list as the majority of their income comes from the emails they send out to their mailing list and not banner ads on websites. So all your initial efforts should be in developing a good mailing list.

The beauty of affiliate marketing is that you don’t have to invest the time and effort to create a product to sell. You can begin selling something as an affiliate as soon as you have a platform to sell it on.
