Is It Ok To Copy And Paste Product Photos From A Companies Website?

Hi. I’ve just set up a new blog and I’ve written an article about some great little products which I want to place images of amongst my text. It’s not like I’m going to be passing these products off as my own – I’ll be explaining where they come from and will even include a direct link to the page but I don’t know if this is allowed without asking the company for permission. Eventually, I’ll be adding affiliate links etc but until then I’m thinking it’s just easier to copy and paste into the blog post with full credits if this is permitted/legal? Thanks for your help.

  1. Mr. says:

Yes you are, but you ill need to give full credit of the owner.

  2. Alex says:

Technically it is illegal without their permission as you are republishing copyright material.
However no company in its right mind would worry about it as long as the site is relevant and does not degrade it corporate image and full links and credit is given. It’s free extra advertising.
Email them and ask, give them your URL and if they complain, it’s their loss not yours, just take the pics and links off.
