K my opinion, Adsense ads are only beneficial if you have a high traffic site. Otherwise it’s clutter for pennies.
If you want to sell something online, like make a site about it then you’ve got to consider how many other ads the prospective customer is seeing all the time.. They are less likely to buy something from you if they think you’re trying to make money off them. Find a Niche where you are helping people, not just randomly selling crap- and look into Affiliate marketing or plr instead.
It worked for me- I started a travel site a few yrs ago and now make enough money I quit my bartending job.. :p
