I Want To Know How Can I Start Market Affiliating? And Which Website I Can Rely On?

I want to be a market affiliate but more or less clueless about it. Moreover, the different sites are just bragging about themselves and less about the real process. So can anyone point me to some good resources related to this topic? also which market affiliate site is genuine , please let me know.

    ClickBank can be a profitable way to become an affiliate, but most users never get anywhere with it (or other online success) because they:
    * Give up too soon
    * Think it will be easy (“get rich quick online myths”). It actually takes time and lots of hard work.
    * Don’t understand online marketing
    * Don’t really, really know what is going on inside the minds of their prospects.
    * Sell instead of informing – nobody likes to be “sold at”. Today’s prospects are no fools. Use no hype, no marketeze, no unsubstantiated claims – don’t “shout” and don’t “expect to get married on the first date”, so to speak.
    First, do you want to be a publisher/vendor or an affiliate (selling vendor’s goods for them)?
    The big money is in being a vendor – if you can attract the best affiliates.
    Yes, you must have a web site or blog. Do a Yahoo or Google search on “blog marketing” to find out how to get blog visitors (no quotes) – it’s much too big a subject for here.
    ClickBank tips – from the point-of-view of a vendor (reverse them if you’re an affiliate):
    * Top affiliates (you don’t want any other kind) will not promote your site/product if you can’t prove that it has a decent SCR (Sales Conversion Rate = percent of visitors who buy). They will NEVER fix your site for you nor make your new site start selling for you. You yourself must make your site fairly successful before anyone will be interested.
    * Don’t be stingy with your affiliate commission. Give them at least 50%. Many give 70% or even the top ClickBank allows – 75% to their affiliates. Remember that these are sales that would never exist without those affiliates, so the small percent you get is pure cream.
    * Provide pages with affiliate tools on your site or blog. Like banner images, best key words, etc.
    * Do a search on “ClickBank” and “affiliate marketing” (no quotes) to find forums that will tell you much more and fill in the details.
    * There are good ebooks on affiliate marketing to be bought on these forums – but don’t go for any that claim quick riches or you don’t need to do anything or know anything – those are just scams.
    * See the links below for marketing resources.
    Hope this helps…
