Affiliate Marketing Secrets

I’ve finish the Ancient Secrets Quest, and my Merchant went into the Forest to “Excavate The Ruins” at the end, but now he (the merchant) got stuck. He wont get out of the forest or do anything, I even tried to kill him by letting him starve to dead and it’s no good. Now my Market has no merchan so I can’t buy there, and I can’t get the Merchant to do anything at all, either he is a Hero on a new quest or not.
can anyone help me fixing this? Any suggestions?
