Tornado In Orlando Florida-storm Chasers, Locals, And Anyone Else Affiliated With Weather?

I am flying to Orlando,Fl on January 6, 2013 and am staying until around the 17th of January, 2013. I was born in California and have only been to a few other states (none in South or Midwest). In California the most we ever got in the way of weather was rain and a rumble of thunder (one or twice in my life. I am now mid twenties). What I am asking is:
1) What are the chances there will be a tornado in Florida when I am there? I know that geographically the state of Florida is in the South and the South (along with the Midwest) is famous for tornadoes. Someone told me that in winter tornadoes will never happen because of the cold weather. They said the Spring is the most common time of the year, along with Summer. But when I heard about the Christmas tornado outbreak (did it end up hitting Florida also?) I became worried. Please understand that I have never seen a thunderstorm let alone a tornado. So I am nervous.
2) I know that Florida gets tornadoes around hurricane season (spawned by hurricane), but are those waterspouts or actual tornadoes? In California we get waterspouts (fair-weather not tornadic). Has Florida ever had an F-4 or F-5 tornado? Like Joplin for instance or the Tri-State tornado? If so, I will be at a hotel and will have no basement for cover!! Isn’t the death rate 100% during a F-3, F-4 and especially an F-5 without a basement? I know Florida boarders Georgia, so the Panhandle probobly gets tornadoes, but what about Orlando????? In January?????
3) If a tornado did come (I pray to God one will not!!!) what can you do to stay safe and not blow away? When a tornado passes over a building or house does it always suck the objects or people out? That is what I am most terrified of. Being sucked up in the huge funnel and spun 200 mph!!! Many people are afraid to visit California due to our earthquakes, but tornadoes seem scarier to me!!!
I hope I did not ramble on, but I hope I will be alright. This is my first real time in Florida (besides as a baby) and I hope no freak storm will occur like the one on Christmas. Thank you for all of your answers.

Is This Guy Worth My Time?

I am a girl who is about 25 years old, and currently a a first grade teacher in Atlanta. I was out clubbing, and walked in and saw this guy, and he just seemed different than all the other guys ive met. Throughout my college, and the two years after, I have always gotten in with total jerks looking to get laid, but he seemed like a classy guy. He was wearing a tuxedo while all the other guys were in jeans and tee shirts.
He tok a little bow and reached his hand out, and said, “would you like to dance with me”. He facial expression was completely blank, and his nonverbal communication looked robotic. He then danced with me with old style 1940s dance steps, and I was surprised that any men bothered to learn to dance anymore. He then actuall walked me to my car, and said goodbye in a oddly princely manner. He then asked me if I wanted to go and see his mansion.
When I went to the mansion, things got a little weird, I had to drive thirty miles into the countryside from Atlanta to some old plantation. I parked at the plantation gates, and rang a huge bell over the gates. He then walked out the gates, wearing some sort of labcoat. He then told me that I had to watch out for the security systems on his property, as he had burning lasers, and an army of motion sensing battlebots that could slice anyone who strayed into their path to shreads.
Once I got into his mansion, I was in for a surprise, the place looked like the gone with the wind mansion, only biger, and there were a bunch of swords on the walls of the foyer. In his parlor, he had an incense burner, and a huge cushion on the floor. I asked him why he had all those things, and he said, “Ive set my house up with a nice romantic atmosphere for when I meet the perfect woman”. I then ventured down into his basement, and was shocked to find a niche filled with all kinds of medications, namely Adderall, Luvox, Catapres, Abilify, and Risperdol. I then ventured looked through a crack in a locked door a the bottom of the stairs, and found that his basement was a huge laboratory. Another closet I saw fifty wedding dresses, and the rest of the space was packed with fertilizer bags. I asked him why he had the strange stuff in his basement, and he said,” I have severe aspergers syndrome, and ADHD, I am perscribed these meds, but I dont usually take them, I am a retired research chemist and I usually spend time in my basement experimenting with my meds trying to find a permanent cure for my condition. In addition to tinkering with my medications, I am also an alchemist trying to find the recipe for philosophers stone, I also make various potions from the fertilizer and the other chemicals in my lab, I then sell these potions to people who are depressed and that is how I am able to afford this mansion.
Why would a 33 year old man be acting this strange, while he is still in his prime, he seemes nice and all, but his yard and basement leave me wondering if he is some sort of sociopath, should I stay with him, or leave him? He’s nice and rich, but the laboratory kind of makes me think hes a creep? What should I do, whats wrong with him?
