I Need Some Story Ideas?

I have started writing this story which goes like this so far:
“Tait lay in his broken bed. The large shed that he had been living in had a wrecked roof and the door had almost been ripped off its hinges. He walked over to the the corner of the room and pulled out a half eaten loaf of bread. He tore a piece of it off and shoved it into his mouth. He looked out of the grubby window and gave a little smirk. Today was Saturday and all boys in London who were like Tait knew that this was a good day. He quickly put on some clothes (not that he had many) and ran outside. He walked down the road to the big courtyard. He looked at the market with a grin on his face. “So I need bread, a bit of meat and something which can get sell to get a lot of money,” he whispered to himself. He slowly walked from stool to stool looking at everything that they sold. One by one things from stools went missing and Tait’s pockets became full of things.
“Gotcha!” a man said grabbing Tait’s wrists. Tait turned around only to see a middle aged man with a light stubble on his face. “What have you taken today?” the man shouted.
“Nothing, police officer, I have taken nothing!” he cried back pull the policeman’s hand off of his wrist. He walked off at a steady pace but once he realized the police officer was following him he made a dash for it.”
I want Tait to go on some adventure or something like that but I am not to sure how to do that, HELP!
P.S. What do you think of it so far?

It really depends on what kind of story you want. You could have someone rescue Tait. You could have it be another little boy who he becomes friends with and goes on some little adventure with. You could make it someone who recruits Tait to a thieves guild sort of thing or some gang. You could add an element of magic to the story and have someone find Tait and give him something magical that could change his life and his situation (sorta like the old creepy dude from James and the Giant Peach who gives James the alligator tongues) and write an adventure about that. You could go completely nuts with the magic and have Tait find a secret way into a different dimension like an Alice in Wonderland sort of thing. The story only has a paragraph or two. It’s hard to really remark on it but I think you have good possibilities for it 🙂 Where you want to go with it just depends on what sort of story you want it to be 🙂

Decide who you are and what you want to say to the world. Then figure out how you will communicate that through your story.
You can do that or you can just write the story and see what happens.
Your only options however, are for you to decide what happens next. As soon as you start writing what other people suggest, it isn’t your story anymore.
As for what you have here so far, it reads like a first draft written by someone new to writing. But it’s a good start. I think that if you keep writing, you could discover some very cool things that might happen. I’m not saying that there is anything supernatural about writing. But you might have inside you a good story to tell. Take this scene and go with it. Have no fear and plunge forward. You may hit some dead ends. I do that too when I write like that. But you also may uncover good stuff.

i dont think its right thing to do what you’re doing. you dont just start writing and fill your story with adventures and etc ! its usually other way around for me.
first you think about the ending, the thing you want to say in your story. then build your main characters. after that you just cant stop the words pouring out. and you wouldnt be in much trouble filling the empty spaces. “what would Tait do?” “how his reaction to this would be” , you’re supposed to just know this things

I think he should get arrested, end up in one of those jails with a special program where he takes a class on writing fiction. The adventure he goes on could be the story he writed in class. In the end, he is transformed by going through his adventure…in real life.

No self respecting writer would ever ask for another writer’s ideas. If you don’t have a story to tell, don’t waste our time or yours.
