Lvl. 33 Digtrio
Lvl. 34 Pidgeotto
Lvl. 49 Charizard
I just beat Giovani in the Silph. CO. building and got the Masterball. I really want to use Lapras (Level 25) And Eevee (Level 25) But I don’t know what to swap out.. Leave a comment helping me out! I just want a good team. I don’t care if I have to do some adjustments, and please leave the location for the Pokémon if I have to find one! Thanks!

I Need A Good Pokémon Team In Firered!?

Lapras and Gyarados are both water type, but while Gyarados is physically offensive (a niche that Primape, Pidgeotto and Charizard can all fill), Lapras can be used more defensively, so I would suggest swapping Gyarados for Lapras. Also Gyarados has type over lap with both Pigeotto and Charizard because of its flying type, while Lapras wouldn’t have any type overlap with your other pokemon. Lapras can fill a more unique niche in your team than Gyarados.
As for Eevee, I would make it a Jolteon and swap out Pikachu for it, because Jolteon is a better electric type (unless pikachu is light ball in which case they would both have high offensive power, but Jolteon would still be faster).
Dugtrio and Primape are both find in my opinion. I would suggest swapping Pidgeotto for an Abra and getting it up to Kadabra (and Alakazam if possible). I don’t know if you’re using Pidgeotto for HM02 (Fly), but if you are you can just deposit if in situation where you need all six of your team. Alakazam would have no type or weakness overlap with any of your pokemon (assuming you don’t evolve Eevee into Espeon or Umbreon).
I hope that helped, though, theoretically, with enough training you could beat the game with your current team.
Get rid of gyrados, digtrio, pidgeotto, and pikachu. In my opinion gyrados sucks, digtrio is weak, pidgeotto is too common, and pikachu is weak. Evolve pikachu and it’ll be a lot better.
