There are a few problems with installing 7. First you’ll wan to make sure that there are Win 7 drivers for your model. Then you’ll have to figure out how to disable secure boot. It’s a new security feature that prevents programs, like viruses, from starting before your OS and antivirus can protect your PC. It also has the effect of blocking any OS except for Windows 8.
Then you’d have to buy a copy of Windows 7 and that will run you about $100. Wouldn’t you rather spend that cash elsewhere?
You didn’t write why you don’t like Windows 8 but I’m guessing that it’s because of the start screen. If you haven’t used it before then I can see why you wouldn’t like it. No one likes to be confused. Anywho, I’ve got a couple of links to fix that. One’s an e-book and the other is a list of tips for Windows 8.http://marketing.dell.com/http://www.techradar.com/us/news/softwar…
There are programs that will give Windows 8 a 7-style start menu. I like Start8 by Stardock. Here’s a link.http://www.stardock.com/products/start8/
It does cost $5 but that’s a heck of a lot cheaper than a copy of Windows 7. Plus, Start8 lets you bypass the start screen and go directly to the desktop when your PC turns on. So basically you get the performance and improved battery life from running Windows 8 and the familiarity of the Windows 7 start menu. Best of both words really.

Yes you can install Windows 7 onto the new W8 laptop. You will need a new boxed Windows 7 install as using the recovery disc from another laptops install would install a illegal copy of W7 onto the new laptop as well as the drivers and utilities for the other laptop most likely would not be the correct ones for your new laptop. Do not remove the Windows 8 recovery partition install onto the main hard drive partition only as the W8 recovery partition if removed/changed can not be reinstalled. Create the Windows 8 recovery disc set before installing Windows 7 in case you ever want to reinstall W8 or need then in the future.

The new Windows 8 computers are LOCKED DOWN to run windows 8 and windows 8 software ONLY, so stick with windows 7 Now it’s up to you, I can only warn you..
