Is It Worth The Effort Trying To Resell Old Playboys?

I have about 35+ of them coming from 2009-2011 with a couple niche editions like “natural beauties.” Not really keen on doing the craigslist thing. Do you think I should just throw them away?

Playboys are heavy and recent ones are a dime a dozen.
You can search eBay and see if any have sold for enough to cover $5.65 for priorty mailing PLUS 10% to cover all fees.

I would put them on Amazon for $5.00 each. I know a guy who sells old comics and textbooks there, and he says they move almost daily.

You can actually make a little money on old Playboy or Penthouse on eBay, but generally, only the ones containing a a pictorial of a famous person like Madonna or an actress will bring more than $10.
Also, a controversial interview may be valuable , but value is rarely more than $5. Your problem is the old supply and demand formula. Every guy finds it somewhat taboo to throw out old nudie books, hence, every guy has a closet bottom full of them. I have found the best way to get rid of them is to “recycle”. Take them into a local book store, news stand, head shop, or similar that sells nudie books. Offer them for free to re-sell. Let them make the profit, and after a few free donations from you, perhaps you can gain some store credit if what you have donated is selling. You both win, you get rid of your crap, they make a small profit, and perhaps you help create a “used mag” nitch where you too can get some new/recycled nudie material for really cheap!

Playboys do have resale value. Don’t expect to make millions off of it. The catch with e-bay & craigslist is the shipping cost. If you just want to get rid of them, do it at a garage sale or local listing. Someone will buy them
