When working with two companies that are affiliated. Can the person working both companies receive overtime, or is it just considered two part time jobs? Would it be best to just work twenty hours each or should it be considered as non-affiliated part time jobs and work as many regular hours as needed?

Do you get two checks or one check? If you get two checks, I doubt that overtime would apply because each company is doing their own thing
It there two different W4s completed, you will get two different W2s with two different EIN numbers = they are two separate companies and hours don’t transfer.
