I’ve Finally Decided I Want To Major In Marketing, What To Do When Not In School?

Hello,
I’ll be second year student at the University of Buffalo in Buffalo, NY. I’ve finally decided that this is what I want to do not only because I am good at selling/designing but also because its something solid I can work with after graduation.
I want to get my Masters in Marketing (is that called a MBA? Sorry dont know)
Also its the summer now and I’m just working to pay rent, etc. BUT I want to be successful and I know that the secret to success is getting started. What are some things I can do with my life currently that will help me with my career? Also what are other things I can do to be successful that dont necessarily have to do with my future career?
I just dont want to spend my summer just working and volunteering. I want to use every minute of my life to be doing something.

Apply for jobs in local marketing agencies, and put in for an internship. You should talk to your curriculum counselor, current marketing professors, and the career advisement office so they can help you locate and sucecssfully apply for meaningful work opportunities.
