I am going to set up a bunch of niche mini-sites. I want to secure one domain, and put the websites into different folders of the same domain. How do i do that?
You will have to get some basic web development training material to learn how sites are structured.
You can create subdomains, which look more like separate sites, most hosting accounts allow an unlimited number of subdomains,
Subdirectory
PetSite.com/dogs/
PetSite.com/cats/
Subdomain
dogs.PetSite.com/
cats..PetSite.com/
Using shared resources and moving files between subdomains can be a little harder.
In hard to rank for competetive topics, having a domain name containing the topic or an exact match of a popular search phrase can slightly help search engines ranking. That is, a separate domain name for each mini site would probably help them get a bit more traffic.
