Was Final Fantasy Iii Every Released In The Uk Or In Any English Pal Formats For The Snes?

Perplexed and wonder why such a big game as Final Fantasy III was not released for the UK Pal market as an english version existed in America and they could have seen the success of Zelda and Secret of Mana Pal releases…
Or was it released and just so rare i can’t find them on ebay?

  1. bluekatt says:

    no it wasnt
the first final fantasy to be released in pal territoriums was final fantasy 7 on the ps 1
nintendo for some reason seems to think ( back then and still do to a degree ) that european gamers dont like rpgs
    3 is 6 btw
    and 2 is 4
ff 1 is …err 1 ie the orginal and first nes game
( ff 2 and 3 are orginally nes games
snes ff 4 is actually japanese ff 4 translation was started on nes ff 2 but it was decided that it woudl took toomuch time so they took easy type ff 4 instead and translated and released that instead
japanese ff 5 was skipped and ff 6 was released as ff 3
ff 7 the first on the ps 1 was the first one released world wid under its own name and the very first in europe as well )
edit : ff 3 6 has been eventually released in europe in 1999 on the ps 1
which is taken from the american final fantasy anthology which is a collection of 5 and 6 with new cgi cut scenes
for some reason scee decided ff 6 would be really well suited for a stand alone release which these days is some what rare ( and expensive ) as well but not as ludicrously expensive as the snes version
there is also a port of ff 6 to the gba
the snes version has been released on nintendo’s virtual console
and finally the ps 1 version is available on psn
    but vintage snes ?
american super nintendo or japanese super famicom only
