   I would say to check and see if your school has journalism, if so take it and ask around seeing if you could do something like reviewing a designer’s line of clothing or the newest make-up set from Chanel for the school’s newspaper.

   Start with your local high school paper. You can volunteer to be an intern at your city local newspaper. It may not get you into the fashion part of the business. This will give you a background. Maybe an opportunity to publish an article later on. Take journalism and publishing in college. By this time you can get a job with a local newspaper or magazine. Be creating a portfolio of articles that you’ve wrote. Then start working on your resume. Save your money in case you have to relocate to persue your career. Read fashion and beauty magazines and blogs to keep up with the latest trends. Be working on your interview skills. You should have everything you need for your big moment. I wish you the best.
