I’ve gotten 3 estimates & narrowed it down to 2. I’ll be using a local agent affiliated with either North American or United van lines for a move from Delaware to Wisconsin. Which should I choose? Do both use owner-operators or do they own their trucks and drivers/movers work full-time for them?
Use both – they are the same.
One note: Last move I was alone in the home.
Both had extremely professional packers that put everything in boxes.
The next day.
The huge red truck pulled up front and out came a short driver guy and his scrawny wife.
(they own their own truck)
They saw all the stuff we had – including an old piano.
They went to the truck stop and got two guys that looked like they just served 10 year prison sentences for murder. A bit scarry for a 100 pound woman alone in a house.
Both companies I believe did similar things (hubby was around for other move and I never noticed). They get extra people to move stuff.
Ask about this when contacting them. But it’s just what movers do
