Are My Extra Curricular Good Enough For Top Tier School?

1. Black Belt in Judo
2. 1500 hours of Community Service( include First Aid Squad, Local Church, and Senior Services Center)
3. 2 year member of the school newspaper
4. 4 year member of state group champion tennis team
5. National Honors Society
6. 2 year member of Harvard United Nations( just affiliated with Harvard, nothing that special)
7. Local Charity group advisor within our school. Raise money for countries with national disasters
8. Founder of the Chess team
9. Entire High School Secretary.
Its okay if its not, you guys can be brutally honest. I just want to know where I stand. I know there are some kids with crazy applications.

    And you GPA and SAT/ACT scores are? When push comes to shove they really want to know if you are a good student.

    Do you have any leadership positions on any of those clubs? Colleges are looking for leaders. like HS secretary is great.

    Of course they’re good enough to QUALIFY you for any of the top tier schools. But realize that 75%+ of all applicants to these schools are well qualified and 80 – 90% of them will still be rejected, because there are only so many places. So apply to several schools, and make sure your top pick knows exactly why they’re your top pick (maybe because they have a specific program you want to take or because it’s a family tradition to go there).
