How many people realize that the HSUS isn’t affiliated with local humane societies? They don’t even own or operate a single spay or neuter clinic or animal shelter? They take in hundreds of MILLIONS of dollars and less than ONE PERCENT goes to local shelters to take care of sick and neglected pets like the ones shown in their (very sad) advertisements. I go to my LOCAL HUMANE SOCIETY. I didn’t even know that HSUS existed. That is terrible that they are taking people’s money.
100% scam. They take money from people who think they are giving for homeless dogs and cats and it really goes to a political machine bent on taking away sources of food for people (against eggs, farms, milk, meat) and taking away our pets.

Your absolutely correct. They do not support any shelter. When rescues are involved, they send their people in with their big HSUS t-shirts and then dump those dogs off at shelters.
There is currently a letter writing campaign to the IRS to get their Not for Profit status removed, from what I understand there are at least 6 Senators supporting this.cakewalk
