Is Every Clinic In The Us That Provides Health And Preventative Services To Women Affiliated With Planned…?

…Parenthood? If not, then what percentage does or doesn’t have anything to do with them? Do those clinics that are affliated with Planned Parenthood get federal fundings?
Is Planned Parenthood the only game in town for women?

PLEASE NOTE: this question is not asking about abortion for or against. It is not a question about if PP is good or bad. I just want the facts no ranting.

Not all such clinics are part of the PP network. Unfortunately, they are becoming scarcer, though, and this possible funding cut is not going to be good for women’s health.

No, not all clinics who provide women’s health screening etc. are Planned Parenthood affiliated, but in the communities in which they are located, they are often the only alternative for POOR or indigent women. (Or those temporarily made poor by college)
Many years ago, when I was in college, I did some college credit work as a Doctor’s Assistant for Planned Parenthood. While I was there, the physicians, staff, nurses, etc. provided some of the highest standard of screening care, birth control methods orientation lectures. (Not just knee jerk, throw everyone on the pill etc.), referrals for prenatal care and low cost delivery for those who chose to keep babies, referrals to adoption agencies for those who chose adoption. Yes, we did make referrals for early abortion for those who chose this, which incidentally, were often reported to be incest or date rape.
I can’t speak for everything Planned Parenthood is doing now, but the organization I worked for, was a force for good in the world, and used whatever funding it had wisely.
I suspect that the attack on funding Planned Parenthood comes from those who would like to control all aspects of health care delivery for all Americans, and I suspect that the current regime favors this. I am always sorry to see choices for health care for anyone diminish. Alternatives for care is one of the things which makes care in the US superior for many patients. Best wishes.
