When i was 17 i got a misdeamor and i did my 1 year probation and was told that my case would be “sealed” .. i have worked at big retail places that do conduct strict background checks and never had a problem at all!! passed my background check, but recently 2 jobs has seen my case. my question is how can some jobs see since its ” sealed ” and some jobs see my record clear. i have a back ground check for SUITMART this coming monday, do you think i will have a problem,

There are different agencies that handle background checks. Clearly your record is coming up clean on some and not clean on others. You can contact the individual agencies to make sure the information is accurate but beyond that it gets quite complicated. You may never be able to remove the “sealed” conviction. Inaccuracies (not that this is necessarily one) have become a huge issue in these kinds of pre-employment background checks and there is a lot of information available online. Government agencies have also been examining the issue.
Its possible the other companies also found it, but since it was only a misdemeanor, that was not sufficient enough to keep you from getting the job
