NPR and PBS stations nationwide are rallying their audiences to contact Congress to fight against Republicans’ proposed spending cuts, but some affiliates’ pleas may violate laws preventing nonprofits or government-funded groups from lobbying.

    For you intellectuals that say they are not breaking the law. It is like saying that the KKK receiving a small percent of Government funding is not breaking the law.
    The fact that they receive one dime of TAX PAYER money they are to be neutral. They are not suppose to be political, GET IT!

    No one has broken any laws. No one has been charged. And yet…you say “they are breaking laws.”
    Why are you saying they are breaking laws when the only ones saying they are doing so are conservatives who want to cut their funding?
    Start an investigation if you like…but no one is guilty in the US until they are found to be so with proper due course. No matter what conservatives say.

    You need to understand the difference between advertising and lobbying. Asking viewers to express their beliefs is not the same as contacting elected officials for private discussions
    I don’t think anyone appreciates the conservative War on Teachers, Education and Science.
