Why Is My High Ranking Website Buried In The Search Results?

I have a blog I been working very hard on for about three years. It has good Alexa and Google rankings. In Google’s search results however, it is buried if you search for it’s niche related keywords. On the first page of listings for these keywords there are sites that have few posts, haven’t been updated for months and have bad Alexa and Google ratings/ rankings.
Any ideas about why this is?

There is a thing called SEO, those websites which are at #1 are very well optimized. SEO is the only thing you could do to get your website ranked higher. Try using google optimized blog templates (they are mostly paid templates, and they help a lot), try to integrate large number of keywords and link your website to other websites in your category. This must help you.
