Why Doesn’t The Tea Party Just Say We Are Apart Of The Republican Party?

They always say that they are “America’s voice” which they sort of are if you are a Republican. They say that they are not affiliated with any party but all of their candidates are Republican. It’s okay to be apart of the Republican party I don’t understand why they just won’t claim it. I’m pretty sure there were no Tea Party Democrats elected because quite frankly there are no Tea Party Democrats or Independents.

So retards will think they are different from the Republican party when they really aren’t.
Runaway spending?? You mean run away military spending? Because entitlements per capita have gone down for years as republicans have taxed the middle class more and more.

  2. Sean says:

The tea party conservatives are threatening the republicans if they don’t stop the run away spending of government, meaning they’ll be replaced by conservatives come next election.
Being a moderate republican myself I just watched the majority go to my right, the tea party isn’t republican, they’re conservative.

  3. America on Bush's Watch says:

Bush-Cheney were such a miserable disgrace they were thrown under the bus by their own party.
The teabaggers think that the lipstick they put on their pig the repube party somehow makes it less than a pig.

You don’t quite understand. The Tea Party is comprised of Conservatives that have a very simple agenda. Smaller Gov’t, adherence to the Constitution & Fiscal responsibility. Ther are no planks in the Tea Party platform for ‘social issues’. The Republicans cannot really be called Conservatives anymore…& so, the Tea Party evolves. Also, the Republicans have ‘social issues’ that Tea Party people do not care to get involved in.

There are none so blind as he, or she who will not see. the truth is in front of you open your eyes.

  6. Marc says:

Because they are not. Unfortunately this means we now have 2 parties of idiots to deal with instead of just one…

  7. Hey, Hussein II! says:

Why don’t demmycraps just say that they’re part of the socialist party?

  8. kepi blanc says:

You apparently don’t understand that the word “apart” is NOT the same thing as the phrase, “a part,” do you? You made this mistake twice in your question above.

  9. Lacey G says:

They may identify in the main with many republican positions, but they don’t want to be grouped with the old guard republicans.
In my opinion the Tea Party began as a gimmick to draw out republicans and get them to come together and participate in the political process. Having seen the outpouring of support that Obama garnered during the Presidential campaign, they were trying to re motivate their party. Had it not been for Sarah Palin, most of them would have identified themselves synonymously as both republicans and tea partiers.
As time has passed and it becomes more and more apparent that Palin, the self proclaimed voice of the Tea Party, will not get the support of the GOP in a bid for the Presidency, I look to see the Tea Party emerge as separate party, like the Green Party. Running as an Independent alienates too many people, it connotes being out their on your own with no one who really identifies with you. So Palin and other candidates who are not acceptable to the GOP will run as members of the Tea Party as a third option, and a lot of elections are going to get handed to dems when the republicans split down the middlle between the other two candidates and nether of them can get a clear majority.
