What Language Did Adam And Eve Speak?

For those who are firm believers in the Bible, could you please give me any insight as to what language was spoken by Adam and Eve, and by their early descendants. I have been heard of the Adamic language, but when I try to research it, I can only find Mormon-affiliated websites. Is the Adamic language something that is part of Mormon theology or not? If so, would the language they spoke be called Edenic?

The Tales of Adam Eve and Lilith
Pre-date the Christian religion by a few thousand years
Many of the Stories from the Old Testament were adapted from older Texts
    Ancient Hebrew or Aramaic
    are possible

I agree; old version of Hebrew!

“Archaeologists have uncovered languages that are older than Hebrew. For instance, the Sumerian written language used pictures for words and sounds. Also, ancient Egyptians used pictures called hieroglyphics (hi-ur-uh-GLIFF-icks) to write words and sounds. Later, other languages (like Hebrew) used an alphabet to write words. The earliest form of Hebrew appeared before the time of Moses. So, Hebrew was around when Moses wrote the first five books of the Bible, and it is the language in which most of the Old Testament was written, although some of it was written in Aramaic (Daniel 2-6, and parts of Ezra 4-7). The alphabet of Aramaic looks like Hebrew, but it has different grammar and spelling.
We don’t know what language Adam spoke, but he was able to name the animals and communicate with Eve. So, from the very beginning, man was intelligent and spoke a language. He wasn’t an ignorant caveman who used grunts to communicate with others.”

The Adamic language is, according to Abrahamic traditions, the language spoken by Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Adamic is typically identified with either the language used by God to address Adam, or the language invented by Adam (Book of Genesis 2:19).

it is unlikely that astralopithecines communicated by speech

    Adamic Language

  7. Nephihah says:

The existence of the pure Adamic language is doctrine of THE Church Of JESUS CHRIST Of Latter Day Saints. The Jaredites spoke the pure Adamic language, while everyone else’s language was confounded at the Tower Of Babel.
The entire story of the Jaredites is not given in the Book Of Mormon, just a readers digest thumbnail sketch version. The Jaredite portion of The Gold Plates was sealed by a metal gold alloy. The Jaredites wrote using the pure Adamic language, using a very dense form of writing. Someday, what the Jaredite Prophets wrote about, will be revealed to all mankind.
In the Millenium people will learn and speak the pure Adamic language, when Jesus Christ will reign on Earth for one thousand years.

The Adamic tongue is what we call the original tongue, for lack of a better word. Presumably, every language on earth is descended from it. Pesonally, I believe the Olmec language is probably closer to Adamic than any other language. Their ancestors prayed that God wouldn’t confound their language at the Tower of Babel. Of course, it didn’t originate with Adam, but with God.

The Chinese were speaking their languages long before 6000 years ago.
